FYI for experimenters: The BMS communicates with a 5v TTL UART at 9600 baud. It is directly compatible with Arduinos, etc.
We have written a new Arduino library for the BMSs, now available on the downloads page. The beta version allows you to read all the monitoring parameters and switch charge and discharge on/off. Future releases will have full read/write capability. A python library is also in the works.

Do you want a great BMS? If you think the 100A current rating is good enough for you then you will not find a better BMS that I currently know of. This thing works as advertised and is built to last.
I was looking for a BMS greater than 100A but then I realized, why do I need anything rated higher? My current system only charges around 80A max and I discharge maybe around half that 99% of the time as well.
This BMS is fully capable of having you change any and every parameter you could want. I only changed my upper and lower cell voltage levels and the associated release voltages so that instead of the “factory default” values running the battery from 0-100%, I run my battery/cells from a 20-80% range. I checked this every day to make sure things were ok and now after a couple weeks I see that it is keeping my system safe so I no longer have to watch anything.
I will be building a second battery so I will probably get another!!
